Bochum, 2012
At the new residential quarter public, common and private open spaces are provided to facilitate the balance between social, casual encounters and leisurely recreation in the open. The public and communicative market place is located at the centre. The commonly used collonade links to the market place. At the residential areas in the northeast and southwest of the quarter there are gardens for common use with neighbours situated - the Apfelhoehe (apple hill) and the Kirschhain (cherry grove). Private gardens are assigned to the townhouses.
