"Luftwurzeln"

The forecourt of Dresden's Kulturpalast, right in the centre of the city, will become an urban plantation for one summer. With the "Luftwurzeln" (air roots), a completely new urban space is created and offers space for action and contemplation. With over 200 wooden cubes, a forest of willows is formed, which develop from grey sticks to green trees over the course of the year. They change the climate of the city, bringing coolness and humidity on hot summer days.
