Recreational Area “Nordstrand”, Erfurt

The aim of the developement concept for the Nordstrand Erfurt was to offer comprehensive considerations about its potential of usage, its operativeness, the traffic and an image creation.

In the course of a longe-range planning strategy the Nordstrand and its adjoining areas are supposed to develope a self-containing identity. By means of framing, organisational and traffic specific measures the area is going to be integrated into the urban structure of Erfurt. The landscape belt “Landschaftsband” will allow a future connection to the seescape of Erfurt.
