Le Lamentin/Martinique, 2005
Martinique's horse racing track underwent a complete renewal. Apart from the extension of the bleachers and stables, the show ring, paddock and other functional areas were reorganized. At the access road 500 new parking spaces were built. Emphasizing the flair of the tropical hippodrome, the new main entrance was designed as a vegetal portal. Royal Palms (Roystonea ssp.), Bird-of-Paradise (Strelitzia reginae) and Bougainvillea (Bougainvillea ssp.) are creating a distinctive atmosphere for each functional area.
